Holiday pastel nails

Hi everyone!
Today I'm wearing colourful pastel nails that's  perfect for the holidays!!

I used a scotch tape to roughly mark the line,
then painted 3 coats of each colour on the top half of the nails.
Then using the gold glitter striper polish,
drew a thick-ish line on the border of the colours.
This nail art is super easy,
because if you mess up the colours,
you can just cover the damage up with the gold glitter!!
✤ Colours Used ✤
Lilac: Models Own #NP152 Grape Juice (Index finger)
Soft green: Bourjois So Laque Glossy #04 Amande defile (Thumb and ring finger)
Baby blue: Models Own #NP150 Blueberry Muffin (Middle finger)
Baby pink: Essie#706 neo whimsical (Pinky)
Glitter striper pen: Color Club #NA26 Fine Gold Glitter
Top coat: Seche Vite dry fast top coat

Here are some pictures of my right hand.
What do you think??

The thick gold lines and the combination of pastels
somehow reminds me of my summer holiday in Italy.
I think it's a perfect mani for the beach too,
paired with either a clean white dress or a colourful maxi!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!! xxx

milky sandwich

Hi everyone ♡
So like I promised,
I did a jelly sandwich with the previous mani that I was wearing!!

But just on my ring finger,
because I was already feeling like wearing a bright colour to match the hot weather!!

What do you think?
I layered one coat of OPI#NL T52 Don't Touch My Tutu!
(2012 NY C Ballet Soft Shades Collection)
It's a very delicate milky white jelly polish,
more whiter and opaque than Maybelline Ballerina.

It makes the fine silver glitters of
OPI #NL T55 Pirouette My Whistle (2012 NY C Ballet Soft Shades Collection)
more soft and subtle,
and makes your fingertips look so sweet!!!

ballerina and the perfect glitter

Yesterday, I was wearing the delicate nude jelly Ballerina.
Sadly, the hot weather made countless bubbles on my nails,
and since I felt like keeping my Ballerina shade a little longer,
I decided to add the perfect glitter to go with it.

The glitter I used was 1 coat of
OPI #NL T55 Pirouette My Whistle (2012 NY C Ballet Soft Shades Collection).
The tiny silver glitters and matte silver hex glitters are perfect to cover up
those nasty summer bubbles on nails!!!

I love the outcome :)
This glitter is also perfect for a jelly sandwich,
so I might end up adding another coat of white jelly polish on top tomorrow ♡

ballerina

Hi everyone!

Today I have a quick swatch for a pretty nude polish!

This is 4 coats of Maybelline Color Show #70 Ballerina.

As you can see,
there's still VNL (visible nail line) after 4 coats,
as this polish is very very sheer and delicate.
However,
I really like how it builds up into a clean, squishy nude beige,
which gives you the impression of an acrylic nail.

It makes your nails look very sophisticated and elegant,
not to mention longer than what they really are!!

The formula was also very easy to work with,
it evens out nicely and other than having to layer a lot,
you really don't have to be careful when applying!!

The bottle was £ 2.99 each and pretty cheap,
but I've already used up 1/5 of the whole bottle after this post....

I think I need to find a cheaper equivalent for this lovely work-friendly polish :(

violet sugar nails

Today I'm very excited to show you my new textured Zoya polish
in the shade of Stevie from Zoya's PixieDust Summer Edition Collection
It's a soft, elegant and sweet shade of violet
with the same glittery, matte, sugar-like texture that we all adore...
I absolutely love this polish.
Just LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!
You can't help staring at your nails under the sun,
the silver sparkle and violet is just prfection ♡

✤ Colours Used ✤
Zoya #ZP675 Stevie

I have used 2 coats for all the pictures.
It is a little on the sheer side,
but I prefer the kind of sheer, translucent finish that gives it more depth,
rather than applying 3 coats and getting an opaque, flat finish.

This last picture was taken under the sun.
See how sparkly the nails are? ♡

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!! xxx

pink & lilac

Today I have a simple yet fun 2 toned mani to show you guys!
✤ Colours Used ✤

✤ Colours Used ✤
✤ Colours Used ✤
Pink: Rimmel #405 Rose Libertine
Lilac: Models Own #NP152 Grape Juice
The bright rose pink of Rimmel and the soft pinkish lilac of Grape Juice goes so well together!

As someone who can't really be satisfied with just wearing one colour on my nails anymore,
this is the perfect go-to nail art
when I'm feeling too lazy for a complicated art :)

I used 4 coats for an even and opaque coverage for both colours.

Bourjois Amande defile

Bourjois so laque glossy #04  Amande defile
Bourjois so laque glossy #04  Amande defile
Hi everyone!!
Today I have a quick swatch on a Bourjois polish in the shade of Amande defile!

It is the most delicate pastel shade of pistachio mint cream,
and just makes me crave a pistachio macaroon!! ♥

The formula was a little on the thick side,
with sheer pigmentation,
and took 3 good coats to be opaque and even.
You also have to be extra careful that you dry it well
before adding a top coat on,
as this kind of polish with a thick formula can end up shrinking around the cuticles!

But the formula aside,
I haven't quite been able to find a mint colour
as perfect and clean as this one!!
Others tend to be a little too white,
or a little too dusty compared to Amande defile.

Hope everyone is feeling okay in this crazy heat!!
As much as I'm appreciating the lovely sunshine,
I hate it when the heat makes nail polishes create bubbles on your nails!!
I wish I could paint my nails in a fridge, haha :)

summery fishbone ♥

Today, I'm wearing a very summery fishbone nail art ♥

It was very easy,
you just layer each colour on top of each other,
and voila!!

The pastel peachy coral and the metallic pink gold makes my fingers so..
beach ready!!
I wish my body was as beach ready as my nails!! :s

✤ Colours Used ✤
Pastel peachy coral: Essie#710 van d'go
Pink gold: Essie#942 penny talk
Purple: OPI NL E74 You're Such A Budapest
Top coat: Seche Vite dry fast top coat

What do you think?
I think it was perfect for the hot sunshine we've been getting in London this whole week!!

elegant in the perfect shade of beige

Hi everyone♡
Today I'm wearing an elegant shade of beige with a silver gradient.

I think it is any nail blogger's mission to find
the perfect shade of beige that matches your skintone.
It's so difficult to find just the right hue that would compliment your skintone
and make your nails look longer and cleaner than ever,
since you can't really rely on other people's swatches.
You just have to try them out yourself!!
I was on this mission ever since I've started painting my nails for the first time,
and I now own about 10 different beige polishes.

And I was lucky enough to find the perfect beige!!
My good friend gave this to me as a present,
and I absolutely love it!!
I love Essence polishes,
all the colours I've tried from them dry fast,
has good pigmentation and dries super glossy!!
I also love their slightly rounded brush
that makes painting around the cuticle lines so much easier!!

The formula for this beige was amazing too,
it became opaque after 2 thin coats,
and any slight streaks you have can be covered up with a topcoat!!

After 2 coats of this beige,
I added my all time favourite silver glitter near the cuticles in a gradient,
then finished off with a thick coat of topcoat.
✤ Colours Used ✤
Base coat: OPI#NT T10 natural nail base coat
Beige: essence nude glam #04 iced latte
Silver Flecks: TiNS#701 Photogénne
Top coat: Seche Vite dry fast top coat

What do you think?

I think my nails look super stylish and clean and elegant♡♡♡

P.S.

Here are some pictures I have taken the next day,
in natural light as opposed to the ones I have taken before in my room.
Hope you can see how the beige has a very slight hint of pink in the daylight!!
I usually paint my nails everyday,
but I am too much in love with this to change today!!

hologram flowers

Today, I'm wearing yet another pastel nail art♡

I have used 3 coats of each colour,
then placed white pearl holograms in a flower pattern,
covering everything up with a nice thick coat of Seche Vite.
It's as simple as that, and the end result is so cute!! I love this!!

OPI: I Theodora You

OPI: I Theodora You
Hi everyone!
Today I have a quick swatch of
OPI #NL T61 I Theodora You
from the Oz The Great & Powerful Soft Shades Collection♡

I have used this delicate soft pink here (with glitter) and here (with rose nail art).

I love soft and sheer pinks,
and I feel like this colour is just the perfect polish for me!!

I have used 3 coats for the pictures.

As you can see, it is quite opaque after 3 coats,
but still has a little hint of squishy jelly finish  which I just adore!!
The application is amazing too,
the formula is watery and self levelling,
resulting in a wonderfully shiny finish☆

It really goes well with glitter polishes on top too!!

Here is a close-up shot, again, using 3 coats.

OPI: I Theodora You

What do you think?

Even on its own,
this colour makes your fingertips girly, chic and pretty ♡
